In order to continue to grow professionally and personally, Joanna joined the national
Downtown Women's Club (DWC). She was extremely pleased with the group's
principles and objectives, but she was disappointed to learn that Atlanta did not have a
local chapter.
Using the information on the national DWC website, Joanna launched DWC-Atlanta in
August of 2007. The mission of the DWC is to empower women through access to
information and opportunities for collaboration.
DWC-Atlanta has held regular meetings since August, and in December 2007,
